COMPONENTS: Primers

The function of the primer is to ignite the powder in the most effective way possible.

Consequently, the quality and the consistency of the shot are directly related to the results of the interaction between primer and powder.

UEE Cartuchería Deportiva, S.A. has the experience and a long tradition in the manufacture of igniters.

The result is the new
UEE-G primer

The UEE-G primer is produced with the latest technology in the manufacture of explosive paste and the metal parts and in the automatic assembly process.

The new UEE-G primer is perfectly compatible with the majority of existing powders in the market although it reaches maximum results when used with the CSB or PSB powders.

UEE Cartuchería Deportiva, S.A. is proud to offer the public a product of high sensitivity, perfect detonation and great consistency. The UEE-G primer consists of three metal parts (the casing, the capsule and the anvil) and the explosive paste. Two paper disks are situated over the fulminate and at the exit of the case.

Our type 209/G-600 primers are packed into trays of 100, and then packaged ten trays to a box to equal 1,000 per box. Five boxes, totaling 5,000 primers, are then packaged into a case.

Quality control starts with the inspection of the basic raw materials, it continues with the electronic control during the assembly of the primer and extends to the verification of the finished product. The latter is tested for sensitivity, power, the shape of the ignition flame and its temperature, the pressure – time curve and the consistency of these characteristics.

To achieve maximum performance the primer should be combined with a powder of suitable characteristics. This way the ignition flame and its temperature will allow the powder to be ignited progressively and uniformly. This is the reason why these characteristics are the object of principal attention by our control laboratories.
