The tradition and the experience of Rio Ammunition dates back two centuries when UEE, our parent company founded in 1896, commenced fabrication of cartridges and powder for hunting.

During its expansive history it has made continuous efforts to stay at the forefront of both manufacturing technology and the development of new products. At the present time our production plants are the most modern and competent in the world, and they are involved in the most meticulous processes and analysis with the object of guaranteeing the quality and accuracy of every product we make.

Rio Ammunition is a company in constant expansion. At present we are active in  more than 80 countries and we continue to develop our plans for internationalization, production and marketing in various geographic locations.

However we are not content with merely being present in these markets; it is our goal to become market leaders. At the current time, we are one of the world leaders in sporting shotshell sales, and our volumes continue to grow each year. Rio Ammunition is the only private company which manufactures all the essential components for its cartridges (hulls, primers, powders, wads, etc.).
