Rio Ammunition uses only the highest quality lead and steel shot, with an obsession toward sorting so that you receive only perfectly spherical profiles, true to the stated gauge. High density and uniform patterns are achieved due to this high degree of sorting accuracy, exceeding diameter and weight allowance tolerances considered acceptable to otheer manufacturers. Controlling shot quality on hardness and roundness help to determine the ballistic performance of each submunition departing the barrel. We craft our non-steel shot from lead-antimonium alloys, in specifically chosen ratios, to achieve the hardness values required for shooting or game hunting depending upon the chosen cartridge.
